Margaret's Hope Darjeeling
The hill town of Darjeeling is in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains in the north-east corner of India. The unusual combination of high mountains, steep terrain, well-drained soil, extreme cold in winter and intense heat in summer, misty swirling clouds and a lot of well-distributed rainfall and pure, clean mountain air produces the exquisite muscatel character and flowery aroma of good Darjeelings. Often referred to as the 'champagne' of Indian teas, Margaret's Hope makes a wonderful afternoon tea......perhaps with a scone and jam?
